Textile and dyeing industries
As a reducing agent, Sodium hydrosulfite is commonly used in the textile process including spinning, weaving, bleaching, stripping, and dyeing, Primarily it is used in those process involving sulfur dyes and vat dyes, such as indigo blue, the necessary dye for Denim production, with the purpose to reduce the insoluble vat dye in water.
